Washington, D.C. - Capitol Building

I took an unbelievable number of photos of the Capitol Building, but the one image that emerged from that effort was one that assumed the mood of the Dutch painter Lawrence Alma-Tedema, who was famous for his dreamy depictions of luxury and decadence of the Roman Empire.  The portico columns, and the treatment I was able to apply through Photshop, would fit in perfectly with his work.
